A 21st century leisure experience
 The Aqua Vale
Swimming and Fitness Centre was officially opened by His Royal Highness the Earl of Wessex, and Her
Royal Highness the Countess of Wessex on Friday 2nd November 2001. This £9.8 million
Lottery-supported leisure complex offers state-of-the-art facilities to help its users enjoy a healthier
lifestyle. The facilities available at the centre offer excellent value for money and are open to the public
at user-friendly times both during the week and at weekends.
Facilities at Aqua Vale
Facilities at the new centre include:
- An eight lane 25 metre indoor competition pool with moveable floor
- Indoor leisure water with interactive water slide, lazy river creek and gently sloping beach
- 20 metre Outdoor swimming pool, linked directly to the indoor leisure water
- 2 Saunas
- 80 Station fitness studio
- Dance studio
- Club meeting room
- Changing village
- Café bar
- Seating area for around 300 spectators
