Cruise into the Chilterns
Take to the water with Grebe Canal Cruises! Explore a beautiful stretch of the Grand Union canal on the
northern edge of the Chiltern Hills in a variety of ways - join one of our skippered cruises, charter a boat
for a party or a group outing, or steer a boat yourself for a day out.
Family fun
We run a 90 minute scheduled service from Easter to the end of October at weekends,
and on weekdays during most of the school holidays, with extra trips on Bank holiday weekends. There is
a licensed bar aboard both our hospitality boats offering a wide range of alcoholic drinks, soft drinks, tea
and coffee, chocolate, crisps and biscuits. We also have special Halloween cruises during the last weekend
in October and Santa Special Cruises during December.
Small Groups
From the late May bank holiday to the end of September we have our renowned 3 hour
cream tea cruise on Wednesdays and Sundays. New for 2011 we are introducing an Afternoon Tea Cruise –
complete with bone china and white linen. During July and August we are also running a 2 hour Coffee
(or tea) and Cake cruise on Thursdays.
Organisations
Groups and organisations are welcome to charter our boats for their own private charter.
We offer a range of menus from cream teas, ploughman’s lunches and fish and chips, and are happy to
discuss other options. Our boats can comfortably carry up to 50 people and we do ask for a minimum of 30

A Party with a Difference
Chilterns Countess – the pride of our fleet, electrically powered, glides almost silently
through the water providing an ideal setting for that special event. Golden and diamond wedding Anniversaries,
milestone birthday parties, retirement parties and wedding receptions have all been held aboard Countess and
she has provided many happy memories. Our aim is to help make every event special and we can offer as much
or as little help as is required with regard to catering, entertainment and decorations.

A Grand Day Out
Have a really enjoyable day out in the great outdoors on one of our self-steer day boats. These are very easy
to drive and basic instruction on operating the boat and locks will be given before you start. The boats are
licensed for 10 – 12 people and come equipped with a hob, sink, basic kitchen utensils and crockery, and
have a toilet on board too.
